1. 开饭店 Open a Restaurant

Once the post station and barracks were partially completed, the military base came alive with activity. The troops guarding the migration palace began entering the drill grounds for training. Many generals brought their families to visit the palace. At first, Dust-scent and Dust-mortal were delighted by the bustling activity. Soon, however, they found their home lacked privacy, with people constantly peering into their house. Dust-scent then conceived a new idea: build a two-story restaurant between the barracks and their home and raise the restaurant 's walls higher. He sought out the two county officials to discuss the plan.

That restaurant you mentioned can be built in three days. The entire project won't take more than seven days.”
尘凡问：“工期那么紧！七天建成的饭店能用吗？”

Dust-mortal asked, “With such a tight schedule, will a restaurant build in seven days even be usable?”

In the end, Dust-scent spent 300 taels of silver; the restaurant was completed within seven days. He appointed his family's chef as the restaurant manager. From then on, Dust-scent, Dust-mortal, and the construction company manager all ate their three meals daily at the restaurant.
2. 找家长评理 Seek Parental Judgment
一天，守卫行宫的将军拿着个盔缨被折断了的头盔来找家长评理，对尘香尘凡和建筑公司的经理说：“我们的军事基地和你们家是邻居。我们已经达成了协议：我们可以去你家的河里洗澡，钓鱼；你们可以使用我们的马和武器。今天，我想和你们哥俩，还有家长具体说说我们协议的内容。你们使用马匹必须遵照我们马匹使用管理细则。你们使用我们的武器也必须遵守我们的武器管理规定。如果你们违反了军规，必须接受我们军队内部的惩罚。你们同意吗？”
One day, the general guarding the palace came to Dust-scent's house with a helmet and a broken tassel to seek justice from his parents. He said to Dust-scent, Dust-mortal and the manager of the construction company: "Our military base is a neighbor of yours. We have reached an agreement: we can go to your river to bathe and fish; you can use our horses and weapons. Today, I want to talk to you two brothers and your parents about the details of our agreement. You must follow our horse use management rules when you use horses. You must also follow our weapons management regulations when you use our weapons. If you violate military regulations, you must accept punishment within our army. Do you agree?"
尘香和尘凡同意了。建筑公司的经理没说话。

Dust-scent yelled at Dust-mortal, "What did you do?"

3. 小射手 Young Archer

Later, Dust-scent mentioned this affair to Constable Before-charging and Path-leader at the county government office, adding that she wanted to find Dust-mortal a teacher to teach him archery. Before-charging informed Dust-scent that Path-leader was an expert marksman and suggested Dust-mortal go hunting with Path-leader and his friends. Sure enough, within three months, Dust-mortal earned the honorary title of “Young Archer.”
4. 不卖给你 I won't Sell it to You
一天尘香在和两位县政府官员喝酒的时候，说要卖这里的地产，搬家去县里。一位官员问：“你要卖多少钱？”
尘香回答：“如果你买，我要三千两银子。”
另一个官员问：“如果我要买呢？”
One day while drinking with two county government officials, Dust-scent mentioned he wanted to sell his property here and move to the county seat. One official asked, “How much are you asking for it?”
Dust-scent replied, “If you buy it, I want three thousand taels of silver.”
The other official inquired, “And what if I want to buy it?”
尘香回答：“两千两银子。”
建筑公司的经理听见后，也过来说要买。尘香回答：“不卖给你！” 经理红着脸走了。几个监理哈哈大笑。
事后，尘凡不高兴地来找尘香：“你怎么对我师傅这么没礼貌？”
Dust-scent replied, "Two thousand taels of silver."
After hearing this, the manager of the construction company also came over and said he wanted to buy it. Dust-scent replied, "I won't sell it to you!" The manager left with a red face. Several supervisors laughed.
Afterwards, Dust-mortal came to Dust-scent unhappily and said, "Why are you so rude to my teacher?"
尘香回答：“你师傅早就发现咱俩打算离开这里了。这个工程是那个女人（顺皇）在给咱俩钱。咱俩走了，她肯定派人来查账。这座房子和家具都是咱爹牛郎自己设计制作的，那个女人肯定会要回去。我给你师傅长两倍的工资，现在生效。”
尘凡去告诉公司经理说：“我哥说给你长两倍的工资，今天生效。”
建筑公司的经理听后，没说话。
Dust-scent replied, "Your teacher has long known that we are planning to leave here. The woman (Emperor Shun) is paying us for this project. If we leave, she will send someone to check the accounts.
