9.1.4 文昌宝塔 Literary-Proper Pagoda

 

靖王（即武大郎）把炎帝（即燧人氏，如图9.1.4-37，38，40）送到了石矶娘娘（即潘金莲）的待客室后，他自己出去了。潘金莲惊讶地叨咕：“呦！他怎么还出去了！？”

炎帝回答：“前几天他给我治病的时候（参见8.5节），他编瞎话！这会儿他不好意思了！他说你这房间里有很多我妈妈的遗物。”

After King Jing (aka. Martial Big Wolf) sent Yan Creator (Flint Man; see figs. 9.1.4-37, 38, 40) to the reception room of Queen Stone Jetty (aka. Goldthread Pan), he went out. Goldthread Pan was surprised and said, "Hey! Why did he go out again?!"

Yan Creator replied, "When he treated me a few days ago (see Section 8.5), he made up a lie! Now he is embarrassed! He said that there are many relics of my mother in your room."

石矶娘娘回答：“你妈妈的什么遗物！？我不知道！”

在客厅古玩架上有很多小装饰品。炎帝盯着其中的文昌宝塔（如图36）看。石矶娘娘凑了过来，说：“对！这个宝塔是太后送给我的。”

炎帝问：“这个宝塔象征着什么？”

Queen Stone Jetty replied, "What relics of your mother? I don't know!"

There were many small ornaments on the antique shelf in the living room. Yan Creator stared at the Wenchang (i.e., Literary-Proper; see fig. 36) Pagoda among them. Queen Stone Jetty replied, "Yes! This pagoda was given to me by Extreme Queen Mother."

Yan Creator asked, "What does this pagoda symbolize?"

石矶娘娘回答：“这说法是我听太后说的。过去有一任女娲和他的丈夫（即伏羲，共工，佛）打架，她把他囚禁在了高塔上。有人问她为什么花那么多的钱修了那么一座不方便住的高楼。女娲回答，‘我丈夫是佛，悉知悉见，应该住在天上，不允许任何人对他不敬！’ 后来在夏国，这种塔就被称做文昌塔了，表示当玉女（即女娲，女神，她擅长文学）强盛了，金童（即佛，共工）就变得弱了；但共工仍然是聚合和支撑天地的核心力量。太后送我文昌宝塔是让我珍惜靖王。当然，这是我的理解，你可别听信我的胡言乱语。”

Queen Stone Jetty replied, "I heard this from your mother. In the past, a Nuwa and her husband (Fuxi, Public Work, Buddha) had a fight, and she imprisoned him in a high tower. Someone asked her why she spent so much money to build such an inconvenient high building. Nuwa replied, 'My husband is Buddha, all-knowing all seeing, he should live in the sky, and no one is allowed to disrespect him!' Later in Xia Kingdom, this kind of tower was called Literary-Proper Pagoda, which means that when Jade Girl (Nuwa, Goddess, she is good at literature) became strong, Gold Boy (Buddha, Public Work) became weak; but ‘Public Work’ is still the aggregative force brace sky from earth. She gave me the Literary-Proper Pagoda to let me cherish King Jing. Of course, this is my understanding, don't listen to my nonsense."

注1，图37是炎帝和西王母的雕像，从夏国的文化来说他俩是一对儿女娲和伏羲，或说玉女和金童（参见9.9节）。玉女是文字思维型人，擅长文学。金童是图像思维型人，善于科学研究。图41的八卦图中白鱼代表玉女，阴；黑鱼代表金童，阳。石矶娘娘（潘金莲）是运动思维人中偏于语音思维型的人；而靖王（武大郎）是运动思维型人中偏于图像思维型的人。

他们俩是一对儿女婴和男婴，相当于图41中那两条鱼的眼睛。所以文昌塔表示玉女和金童的对立统一关系，劝金童和玉女要善待对方。

Note 9.1-8, Figure 37 is a statue of Yan Creator and King Mother of the West. From the perspective of Xia culture, they are a pair of Jade Girl and Gold Boy (see section 10.9), or Nuwa and Fuxi. Jade girls are word-thinking person, good at literature. Gold Boys are image-thinkers and good at scientific research. In the Bagua diagram of Figure 41, the white fish represents Jade Girl, representing yin, and the black fish represents Gold Boy, representing yang. Queen Stone Jetty (Goldthread Pan) is a person who tends to be a phonetic thinker among kinesthetic thinkers; while King Jing (Martial Big Wolf) is a person who tends to be a picture thinker among kinesthetic thinkers. The two of them are a pair of Herine and Hero, equivalent to the eyes of the two fish in Figure 41. Therefore, the Wenchang (Literary-Proper) Pagoda indicates the unity of opposites between Jade Girls and Gold Boys, advising Gold Boys and Jade Girls to treat each other well.

随后，石矶娘娘指着装饰架上的另一件古董说：“这个也是你妈给我的。” 炎帝移动过去看。

石矶娘娘又指着几件古董说：“哎呀！这几件东西也是你妈给我的。” 随后，她站在屋子里四处看，忽然说：“我想起来了。这府里的东西都是你大哥从皇宫里搬来的。那时候，我们俩刚从河北回来，元始天尊就把这所宅子送给我们俩了。随后，他来我家做客，看了之后说，‘这靖王府太寒酸了，我帮你布置一下吧！’ 他就命令人从皇宫里挖来了几块石头，还让你大哥从皇宫里搬来了这些东西。后来我去太后的墓园，发现她的寝宫里空了，才知道我房间里的旧家具是从她屋里搬来的。”

Then, Queen Stone Jetty pointed to another antique on the decorative shelf and said, "This is also given to me by your mother." Yan Creator moved over to look.

Queen Stone Jetty pointed to a few more antiques and said, "Oops! These few things were also given to me by your mom." She then stood and looked around the house and suddenly said, "I remember. All the things in Jing King Palace were moved from the royal palace by your elder brother. At that time, the two of us had just returned from Hebei, and Primordial Sky Honor gave these houses to us. Afterward, he came here, after looking around, said, 'This King Jing's Palace is too shabby, let me help you decorate it a bit!' He then ordered people to dig up a few stones from the emperor’s palace, also asked your elder brother to move these things from the palace. Later, when I went to your mom’s cemetery, found her houses empty, I realized that the old furniture in my rooms had been moved from her house."

石矶娘娘继续说：“你喜欢哪件古董都可以拿走。我最喜欢这个龙涎香盒，我不给你。说着，她拉开了抽屉，拿出了一个香料盒。

炎帝接过香料盒，一边看一边说：“为什么不能给我！国王蔻珠很怀念我妈妈，我想找一件礼物送给她。”

石矶娘娘说：“这是女娲家族的传家信物。你拿女娲家的东西送给女娲不合适。对了！你想找你妈妈的遗物，你若想要，可以拿去！你和我不一样，我只是喜欢这个盒子的样式和花纹。”

Queen Stone Jetty continued, "You can take any antique you like. I like this ambergris box the most, I won't give it to you. As she said that, she opened the drawer and took out a spice box.

Yan Creator took the spice box and said as he looked at it, "Why can't you give it to me! Emperor Kou’zhu misses my mother very much; I want to find a gift for her."

Queen Stone Jetty said, "This is a family heirloom of the Nuwa family. It's not appropriate for you to give Nuwa something from the Nuwa family. Oh! You want to find your mother's relics, if you want it, you can take it! You are different from me; I just like the style and pattern of this box."

炎帝问：“你怎么有女娲家的传家信物？不对呀！？这个盒子和大巢氏的不一样啊！”

石矶娘娘说：“每一代的龙涎香盒的花纹不一样。这个龙涎香盒是她们家在补做传家信物时，玉珠嫂子（即太后）专门为我定做的。”

炎帝忽然说：“我不要了！” 说着，他走出了石矶娘娘的会客室。

石矶娘娘没明白是怎么回事，追出来问，发现炎帝站在门外哭了。

Yan Creator asked, "Why do you have a family heirloom from the Nuwa family? It's not right! This box is not the same as Big Nest’s!"

Queen Stone Jetty said, "The pattern of the ambergris box is different for each generation. This ambergris box was specially customized for me by sister-in-law Yu’zhu (i.e., Yan Creator’s mother) when their family was making up a family heirloom token."

Yan Creator suddenly said, “I don't want it!” With that, he walked out of Queen Stone Jetty’s guest room.

Queen Stone Jetty didn't understand what was going on, chased him out to ask, and found Yan Creator standing outside the door crying.

靖王发现炎帝要走了，出来送。他发现炎帝又哭了，直瞪瞪地看着石矶娘娘。石矶娘娘莫名其妙地回答：“你看我干什么！我还想问你呢，他怎么哭了！？”

过了一会儿，炎帝回来劝靖王和石矶娘娘说：“我因为想起了我妈，哭了；与你们俩没有关系。我刚才又想起了给夏国国王买礼物的事，得去礼部查看一下。我走了。”

King Jing found out that Yan Creator was leaving and came out to see him off. He found that Yan Creator was crying again and stared at Queen Stone Jetty. Queen Stone Jetty replied in confusion: "Why are you looking at me? I just wanted to ask you, why is he crying?!"

After a while, Yan Creator came back and persuaded King Jing and Queen Stone Jetty, saying, "I cried because I thought of my mother. It has nothing to do with you two. I just remembered buying a gift for the Emperor of Xia, so I must go to the Ministry of Rites to check. I'm leaving now."
