15.3.1 汉文化节 Han Culture Festival
舜王（又名，夏娃，嫘祖，顺皇，如图15.3-1）收到报告，满王（现在的辽宁地区的王）来武汉朝圣。国务院总理娥黄报告说：“这位满王十几年前来朝拜过尧皇；那时他还是太子。现在老靖王（武大郎）和尧皇都已经过世了，他还亲自来朝圣，这说明辽宁是我们中华共和国的创始成员国之一，我们得好好接待呀！”
King Shun (aka. Eve, Lei Ancestor, or Emperor Shun, as
shown in fig. 15.3-1) received a report that King Mandarin (a King from
present-day Liaoning Province) had come to Wuhan on a pilgrimage. Prime
Minister Beauty Yellow of the State Council reported: "This King Mandarin
has paid homage to Emperor Yao for over a decade; that was when he was still
crown prince. Now that the old King Jing (Martial Big Wolf) and Emperor Yao
have both passed away, he still personally comes to pay homage. This
demonstrates that Liaoning is one of the founding member states of our Chinese
Republic. We must receive him with great hospitality!"
舜王回答：“我们举办个汉文化节，来为明年的顺运动（即汉化运动）做铺垫。我们举行个汉服（如图2）设计比赛；再举办个茶道（如图3至6）大赛。一方面是为了招待满王；另一方面是为了宣传汉文化。”
娥黄回答：“那我就发出通知；并且邀请几家服装设计公司和茶社来表演。我告诉他们，如果他们的设计或配方好，国家愿意出钱购买，然后在全国推广。”
King Shun replied, “We will hold a Han Culture Festival
to pave the way for next year’s Shun Movement (i.e., the Sinicization
Movement). We will hold a Han Cloth (as shown in Figure 2) design competition
and a Tea Path competition (as shown in Figures 3 to 6). This is partly to
entertain the King Mandarin and partly to promote Han culture.”
Beauty Yellow replied, “Then I will issue a notice and
invite several clothing design companies and tea houses to perform. I will tell
them that if their designs or recipes are good, the state is willing to pay for
them and then promote them nationwide.”
15.3-2 还珠格格 Princess of
Return-Pearl
据说一位街头卖艺的名叫小燕子的小女孩儿听说满王将来武汉，就要参加汉文化节，把她妈传给她的一粒珠子还给满王。她们马戏团的一位车夫给她出主意：“如果我们只是去为他们表演杂耍，你不会有机会和舜王和满王说话。我年轻的时候喜欢茶道。我配制的 ‘雨后毛尖’，还有 ‘树林子茶’ 很有特点。如果你用我配制得茶去参加茶道比赛，你就有机会和他们说几句话。”小燕子采纳了马车夫的建议，跟随马车夫去他的家里借来了茶具和茶叶。
小燕子自幼在马戏团里卖艺，善于表演。她身穿从街上买来的便宜的汉服，立刻引起了舜王的注意。小燕子就进入绝赛了。
It's said that a young street performer named Little
Swallow heard King Mandarin was coming to Wuhan to attend the Han Culture
Festival. She planned to return a pearl her mother had passed down to her to the
King Mandarin. A driver from their circus troupe gave her advice: "If we
just go to perform acrobatics for them, you won't get a chance to speak with King
Shun or King Mandarin. When I was young, I loved tea path. My blends like ‘Rain-After
Hairy Tip’ and ‘Forest Tea’ are quite distinctive. If you enter the tea path
competition with my tea, you'll have a chance to exchange a few words with
them." Little Swallow took the coachman's advice and followed him to his
home to borrow tea sets and tea leaves.
Having performed in the circus since childhood, Little
Swallow was skilled at entertainment. Dressed in inexpensive Han Cloth bought
from the street, she immediately caught King Shun's attention. Little Swallow
advanced to the final round.
当公布品茶的结果时，舜王和满王对小燕子泡的两道查都猜对了，雨后毛尖表现的是春天的气息，树林子茶表现的是夏天的树林子。哎呀这俩人高兴啊：“咱俩这茶道外行居然比专家的味觉灵敏！”舜王（即随后的顺皇）立刻召见了小燕子，表示要给小燕子颁发个特别奖，原因是这两种茶特殊，不适合成为大众文化。
小燕子表示，她所要的奖励是请舜王把她妈妈留下的珠子转交给满王。舜王立刻回答：“满王就在这里坐着呢，你把事情说清楚，看他怎么说。”
When the tea tasting results were announced, King Shun
and King Mandarin correctly guessed both teas brewed by Little Swallow: The ‘Rain-After
Hairy Tip’ embodied the essence of spring, while the Forest Tea captured the
spirit of a summer woodland. Oh my, how delighted they were! “We amateurs in
tea path have more sensitive palates than the experts!” King Shun (later
Emperor Shun) immediately summoned Little Swallow, intending to award her a
special prize because these two teas were too unique to become part of popular
culture.
Little Swallow replied that her only reward was for
King Shun to deliver the pearls left by her mother to King Mandarin. King Shun
responded instantly: “King Mandarin is sitting right here. Explain your matter
clearly and see what he says.”
结果，满王承认了他年轻时来汉地，曾在苏州和一位姑娘有交往，并给了她一颗微雕有龙图案的珠子。
舜王（即顺皇，嫘祖）高兴了，封小燕子为还珠格格，并认她做了干女儿。
随后茶道评审委员会重新评定了比赛的结果，认为原定的冠军“茉莉花茶”仍然是国家购买的对象，评定小燕子以“雨后毛尖（茶）”和“树林子（茶）”取得了冠军。原因是这两种茶不特殊，而且是茶道爱好者所喜欢的。
As a result, the King Mandarin admitted that during his
youth in Han territory, he had once been involved with a young woman in Suzhou
and had given her a bead intricately carved with a dragon pattern.
King Shun (aka. White-king Shun, Lei Ancestor) was
delighted. She bestowed upon Little Swallow the title of Princess Returning-Pearl
and formally adopted her as her goddaughter.
Subsequently, the Tea Path Evaluation Committee
reassessed the competition results. They determined that the originally crowned
champion, “Jasmine Tea,” would remain the national procurement choice. They
awarded the championship to Little Swallow for her “Rain-After Hairy Tip Tea”
and “Forest Tea.” The rationale was that these two teas, while not particularly
unique, were favored by tea path enthusiasts.
15.3-3 卢堂左和卢堂右被录取了 Hall-left Lu and Hall-right

这时，女婴来茶道比赛看热闹，在舜王的耳边叨咕：“有两个用我教给牛郎的功夫的年轻人，表现不错！”
舜王（即顺皇）惊讶地回答：“你骗我！你教给牛郎的功夫有什么特别吗？”
女婴回答：“打仗是掉脑袋的事，我怎么能在这方面开玩笑呢！我教给牛郎的功夫不特别，但牛郎学到的功夫特别。我肯定没看错；那俩人有六七处和牛郎犯同样的错误！”
Just then, Heroine came to watch the tea path
competition and whispered in King Shun's ear, "Two young men using the
skills I taught Cowboy performed quite well!"
King Shun (aka. White-king Shun) replied in surprise,
"You're lying to me! Is there anything special about the skills you taught
Cowboy?"
Heroine answered, "War is a matter of life and
death; how could I joke about such affairs! The skills I taught Cowboy aren't
special, but the skills Cowboy learned are. I'm sure I didn't see wrong; those
two made six or seven of the same mistakes as Cowboy!"
舜王吩咐：“那你安排一下，别让他俩看见我。我要亲眼看看。你也再找几个人，再仔细看看。”
顺皇看完卢堂左（即尘香）和卢堂右（即尘凡）与几个她知道的将军比武之后，对女婴说：“没打过仗的兵没什么用。你认为他俩能打仗吗？”
King Shun instructed, "Then make arrangements so
that neither of them sees me. I want to see it with my own eyes. Also, find a
few more people to take a closer look."
After watching Hall-left Lu (Dust-scent) and Hall-right
Lu (Dust-mortal) compete with several generals she knew, Emperor Shun said to
Heroine, "Soldiers who have never fought are useless. Do you think they
can fight?"
女婴回答：“打仗就可能死人！我不敢给出意见。”
顺皇说：“这是我自己的决定！先把他们俩留下；打仗的事我要考虑两周。”一周后，舜王通知女婴，她决定冒险一次！
Heroine replied, "Fighting may kill people! I dare
not give any advice."
Emperor Shun said, "This is my own decision! Keep
them for now; I will think about the battle for two weeks." A week later,
Emperor Shun informed Heroine, she decided to take a risk!
